Description

 Let us pray for the people of Japan. :blackrose:

EDIT I wanted to add color to this since I drew it almost a month ago but, I didn't know how to paint digitally then so I thought I'd give it a try today and this is the result.

Anyone can help the clean-up and aid effort by donating money to the Red Cross.
Please text "REDCROSS" to 90999 to donate $10 (if you live in the United States), or the easiest way to do it is to go to the Red Cross website and donate there. Thank you so much! Please keep the people of Japan in your hearts.

Photos and news from Japan have surfaced--
Because of massive power outages, the crews have not been able to get into the power plants in order to fix the problems they face. A majority of Fukushima prefecture has been evacuated for precautionary measures (the dam that was there also broke, flooding areas even more.) The radiation level around the plant is 1000x higher than usual, and 6 miles around is affected by this radiation.

Please check your news for more updates, if you're interested, as I can not keep updating this every hour...

As of now, there are 1000 confirmed dead, hundreds injured, and over 88,000 missing.
---
As many of you have probably heard, Japan was hit by a massive earthquake of magnitude 8.9 (big as or bigger than Haiti's earthquake last year) around nine hours ago. It happened off the coast by Iwataken, about 2 hours away from Tokyo.

The city of Tokyo is alright for now, structurally, but the city of Sendai as well as many small villages on the coast have been completely wiped out. Destroyed. A ship carrying over a hundred people, and a train, have gone missing. The death toll is enormous, and no one knows for sure, how many have been killed. However, it has been confirmed that at least 300 bodies have been found in Sendai as of an hour ago. Over 500 are reported injured, and hundreds, if not thousands are missing.

As of now, there have been over 87 aftershocks, some as strong as the first hit. The oil refinery has been hit, causing massive fires. Mudslides and the tsunami are wiping out thousands of acres of farmland, and Narita Airport, and the nuclear powerplants are in grave danger. The aftershocks are even reaching to the west coast of the United States, Hawaii, Indonesia, and other surrounding areas. The general infrastructure is also pretty much destroyed--the electric lines, water pipes, etc, are in a bad state. A natural gas storage facility has also recently exploded...

They're saying now that this could be the most economically straining disaster in history--the crops are being destroyed, towns are being wiped out, trains are still not moving. The phone lines are also not working, though the ones in Tokyo seemed to be untouched for now.
